1965 C77E petcock parts, level pivot "pin"?

Post by roadcapDen » Sat Oct 24, 2015 10:45 am

Howdy all, got a new petcock rebuild kit put in, but, the lever will slide out when all together?
It looks like there should be a middle "pin" that the lever would pivot on but l don't have one and can't see that on any expanded views. Anybody have a pic or part #?

Thanks all.

Search Youtube under "Cock Fuel C72 C77 Rebuild" You will see exactly how it goes together and what pieces you need.

Thanks, looks like l'm missing that "cross" spring part that goes on the top plate!?
I have the top plate but it's just flat.
Anybody have one? doesn't seem to come in the "kit"

PS I bought this scoot from Windsor a few months ago!

They don't come with a rebuild kit because usually the old one is ok to use. That can be a problem if you don't have one in the first place.

There are some out there to purchase if no one has a spare around.

petcock

The piece you are missing is very important. It's spring steel that puts pressure on the petcock parts which keeps it from leaking.
