Kick Starter shaft Bronze bushing... Which One?

Post by GeorgeP1111 » Tue Feb 08, 2011 2:56 pm

So now I'm into my transmission on my CA77 motor. The bronze bushing (item #17 on page 18 of the CA77 parts book) that is on the kick starter shaft for the low gear is shot. In looking at the part numbers it shows 23933-253-000 for my engine #1023944 and 23933-259-010 for #'s 1033687 and beyond.

I did find the 23933-259-010 bushing at Classic Honda Restoration, but of course it's not the one for my engine number so my question is... What is the difference between these two bushings and are they interchangeable?

I did search the postings but did not see the answer.

tnx
George

I'll answer this.

From what I was told here in another section and also by Tim at classic honda restoration, it appears that both part numbers are interchangeable. I did find the NOS part with the number for my engine and did order one of those.
