1967 cb77 superhawk running problems

Post by ljk2008 » Fri Jun 05, 2009 7:14 pm

I have a 1967 cb77 superhawk the i got for free out of my nieghbors back yard, I've rebuilt the carbs, replaced the battery, filters, coils, rectifier, headlight, throttle cable, and sparkplugs. It will only run on one cylinder if i take the spark plug out of the one that runs the other one will run. I thought maybe one of the valves is sticking or something.

It certainly doesn't sound like a valve problem to me; I'd suggest replacing the condenser as a starting point; but first & foremost, have you followed The Emo Tune-Up Recipe? http://www.honda305.com/cb77_700/cb77-716.htm prescribed by our resident deity, LOUD MOUSE.
