TYPE 2 has 360 degree crank, one coil and one set of points. .....................lm

Loud Mouse, it's good to see you are still on here. You walked me through a carb issue I was having years ago on a CA77.

I just went out and looked at the CP and it has a points cover that reads "type 1" so, I'll have to count the coils a little later.

On a side note, I also noticed a greese nipple in the middle of my clutch cable.

Never sure whether the Type 1 and Type 2 metioned on Honda's model number list actually corresponds to the Type 1 and 2 on the points cover....

These numbers are different than the ones I found at CMSNL. According to these numbers, my bike CP77-E 1003166, falls in the "These Machines whitch discontinued the year of manufacture are as follows" category (whatever that means)

Thanks for posting this. Every little bit helps me get a little closer to the truth.
