Throttle handle feels stuck, how do I take it apart?

I'm trying to get my '68 Dream going.. the throttle handle doesn't turn very far, maybe 1/8 turn if that, it feels like it's disconnected from the throttle cable and is stuck on something.. how do I go about taking it apart?

Remove the two phillips head screws from the switch housing, pull the two switch housing halves apart and the throttle tube/grip should come off when you twist it clockwise.

Maybe your cable is seized or the Carb slide is binding also.Make sure the adjuster section where the cable runs thru the frame is together properly also.Things to check if the grip is not the problem.Joe

I know it's definitely not the cable or carb, because I checked both when I pulled the carb.. I was gonna clean it, but it looked clean as is.

I'm gonna check out the throttle tonight after work and see what's up.

Consider loosening the 2 screws and moveing the throttle to the end of the bar and check then. ............lm

It just wasn't aligned properly in the slotted groove... it turns now, but doesn't recoil at all.. I have to wind it back.

I'm going to try lubing the throttle cable and throttle handle and see if that helps. The spring action on the carb seems fine.
