Just bought myself a 1965 Ca 77 and stumbled on this forum, seems like a great wealth of information and like-minded individuals so here I am! Just a little background, my name is Zach, I am an NYC resident living in Staten Island. This is my forth motorbike, I have had a 1977 KZ400, a 78 KZ650 and a 75 CB360. I bought this beauty up at the Rhinebeck Grand National last week and am currently putting it through its paces.
So far I can see the headlight needs replacing, general things such as tires and brake pads, and a bunch of polishing. My real big issue that as soon as I set the the petcock to ON or RESERVE gas begins to pour out of the carb drainage hose. Besides that the motorcycle runs pretty good, I have taken it to the store twice and on a few errands.
I have done a bunch of reading on here already and think my best bet is to rebuild the petcock. I found this kit on http://www.olypen.com/retro/ and see they have the cork valve packing available now which should mean its a good kit. What do you guys think? Am i completly off in my hypothesis. I made a video of the problem in action and put it on youtube, here is the link:

Thank in advance guys, happy I found such a great forum!

Looks to me like the carb needs adjusted. I don't think it's the petcock. The petcock basically just turns the gas on or off. It's doing that.
When the carb fills the floats rise and shuts the gas off. It doesn't seem to be doing that. You may just need a little adjustment or you may have a little dirt in it.
You can get a NOS headlight but if you look (there is a link on this site) there is someone selling one with a replacement bulb that is probably the way to go. I did mine myself.
I like the white seat. Mine has a white seat (bike is black like yours) and I would never go to a black seat. I can't tell but it looks like your entire grip/throttle might not be stock. It might be why it's a little wonky.
There isn't a bunch of choices in tires. Again, search here, they have likely all been covered.

Sounds great, I will try and adjust the carb tomorrow night and see if I can work it out. Then I can tackle the throttle next. By Sunday I can hopefully order what I need as well as new tires. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction pknopp!
