I recently purchased this scooter as a project to rebuild for my grandson. There was no title, but the seller wrote me a bill of sale so I can attempt to acquire a salvage title.Everything on the bike looks to be workable except the rims and fenders.I want to upgrade what I can,but my friends tell I should restore it to original. Is this bike rare enough to justify the hassle of a complete restoration? The bike was originally blue. Thanks,Greener

For maybe a little inspiration, here's what my blue '65 looks like. Not a totally correct resto but darn close, visually.

1965 CA77Dream
Frame Number
Greener, better check that number. A '62 CA77 engine number will start with "2" and be 6 digits and frame number will start with "2" and only be 5 digits. The last 4 digits of the two numbers should be within 200 of each other.
Upgrade? In what ways? There are things that if needing replaced you might not want to go stock such as mufflers. They are a bit pricey and there are good looking replacements.
You need to find stock fenders. The Dream isn't a Dream without them. I don't know that there are any better rims than stock ones. IMO, and this is just my opinion. The bike doesn't have enough power to swap to disk brakes even if there was a way.
New tech tires for a younger rider might be a good choice.
