Vintage bike show Auburn, Wa.Members, I just got back from Auburn bike show.
Ron Hinshaws Honda dealership and VJMC put on an event that made everyone feel welcome. People introduced themselves and traded stories about their bikes and the 305 club. I took pictures of our members Johnr, Rustywrench and Dgormley and their bikes. Talk about nice guys, they made me feel welcome. I went inside to see Ron Hinshaws collection. That about floored me. Words cannot describe the condition and broad range of the early Hondas up stairs. Outside he had 50's Hondas and Meguros. I'm not even a small Honda guy but his blue CB92 with race kit was flat awesome. We all ate BBQ hotdogs and had a good time. I talked to a few people that did not know about 305.com. Rusty wants all to know that his daily rider has four legs. If it happens next year, I'm in!! Scram64
VJMCScram64,
Thanks for posting the pics, but it just dawned on me that there isn't one of you for some reason. Was that by design? Well we'll fix that next time or better yet, perhaps Dennis or Randy or John will have one to share. I feel the 305 community was very well represented here except that we did not have even one superhawk present. Mostly scramblers. The best part of this whole thing was meeting the real people behind the screen. We had five members turn out for this and met a few who will maybe join soon. I hope so cuz it would be nice to meet up with more like minded folks. so we will look forward to the next opportunity to gather. RW auburn showwell; I thought it was a pretty good day, lot's of bikes , old friends and some new friends. I enjoyed meeting you guys, it's always interesting putting faces to names. we all owe Ron and his staff a HUGE thank you for inviting the VJMC to show. Also thanks to Mike A. for organizing, his Kawa triple is always a treat see run (I actually rode the thing at the last meet). I really enjoyed meeting Ron Orr and getting a personal tour of his collection of VJM's, it's world class and includes some rare 305's (CS76,C72 domestic, etc). I hope everyone appreciated the very rare early Hondas that Ron put out in the PARKING LOT! for all to see and touch. this is the kind of stuff that most of us will only ever see in a museum behind ropes. I was thrilled to just sit on the Benly J.
Randy Bellingham Vintage bike show in AuburnRusty, Visiting was the highlight of my weekend. I'm camera shy. You guys were the hosts and I just wanted to let the 305 members know that you are great people in the northwest.
