carb top ring
bump... no PM from RW so I guess he didn't find another carb top ring he could part with. Anybody else have help or advice to offer? Thanks, lee

Have you ever tried the epoxy thread repair kit? You put the epoxy on the bad thread side, and a release agent on the other threads. You would have to put it together without the spring over night to set up, then put it back together. It works sometimes in a pinch and if you don't take it off too many times. This would only be a temporary fix and I would suggest to keep looking for a replacement.
The stuff I have is made by Permatex and I found it at the auto parts store.
