Hey All - In the interest of completeness, I'm trying to find a "tappet adjusting spanner" that's pictured in my CB77 owner's manual. I have all of the other tools and the canvas bag (rough shape). Can't even seem to locate one on ebay except for the one pictured below. Is this the holy grail of CB77 tools??? I would pay anything (up to about 10 bucks) for one.
Part number 89201-268-010 supercedes to 89201-268-000
Thanks!

Re: Tool Kit Tappet Wrench
Your kit isn't correct for the C/CA/CB/CL72/77 as HONDA issued the bikes.
Wrong type plug wrench and a couple of others.
Ya do have the tool to adjust the tappet screw but it is one ended and has a bend. ......lm

I don't have the tool kit in the photo ("benly.jpg") - that's a picture of a $200 tool kit for sale on ebay. I was just wondering if the tappet wrench in the picture was the right one, and if so where could I get one? I'm trying to reproduce the tool kit in the picture titled "owner's manual" and I have all the tools in that one except for the tappet wrench.

Mine broke, first outing! I bought a little 4mm x 5mm open-ended spanner in the end, which serves the tappet adjustment and wheel spokes.48lesco wrote:So back to my original question - Where can I get one of those original bent tappet wrenches??? I have a few things I could trade... Anybody?
I had one made from stainless steel plate; cost me €40 and it just disappeared; I think the workshop floor has eaten it, along with a plethora of small screws & washers. It'll turn up one day, but I needed to build my wheels. So I shelled out all of €3.65 for the one I have (temporarily) in the kit for now.
I guess you'd call that "Knackered" sp? - maybe they all broke and that's why I can't find one. Thanks for the pic though, at least I know what I'm looking for now. I could just buy a 4mm wrench but where's the thrill in that? Hoping to take a last ride tomorrow (for the year). Supposed to be 65-deg in Cleveland. Hope my valves don't go out of adjustment on the road suddenly...
