Speedometer cable help

Post by RonBou » Sat Mar 01, 2008 8:14 am

Apparently the new speedo cable the previous owner installed was not tighten well enough. It has disconnected itself. :( My hands are way too big too reattach the cable by reaching in through the rear of the headlight assembly. Is there an easy way to get to it? Or...do I need to start dismantling the whole assembly? Can you get at it by removing the headlight? The book I have doesn't give me a clue and searching the posts here didn't get me any answers. Thanks in advance...

that it wouldn't be that easy. The speedo was screwed in O.K. but where it screws in fell out. Is this fixable? Or do I need a new speedo. Sorry if this is an obvious answer but as you can guess I know very little about the Dreams. If you follow this link there are 2 views of this "thing". You may have to cut and paste it.
