age verification

I've read through every post and Bill Silver's carbon dating guide, i guess i'm just looking for verification from one of the authorities that my line of thinking is correct.
My dream is titled as a '67. The frame vin is 1028269. The engine vin is 1028312. The wiring harness tag says C-A724851 1965.
From what i've ready i'm to understand that the wiring harness is the final word ? So more than likely it was made in '65 but not sold/titled until '67 and thus titled as a '67?
Sorry to beat a subject thats been gone over a thousand times, but i just want to make sure i hadn't glossed over anything. Thanks in advance!

mine is registered as a 69. where exactly is the date located on the wiring?

there should be a small tag on the main harness that runs thru frame.may be hard to see.

i took a couple pix of my harness to show you, though it doesnt indicate where it is on the bike well. The right side of the harness (as oriented in the pictures ) goes to the ignition. Hope it helps!

those are great pictures! i think i'll try looking through the air filter access hole, behind the battery.
i run a k&n style filter, so it's empty in there. i'll report my findings shortly.
