Replacement Ignition coils

Post by tom1104 » Mon May 05, 2025 2:33 pm

Hello all,
Does anyone know of a good replacement for the Honda CB77 ignition coils. Looking for a modern replacement. Doesn't need to be identical in size as I can make a bracket. Just something that'll last and good quality
Thanks

Some time back I contacted a company named Emgo after seeing what appeared to be an almost exact replacement (dimensionally) coil for one of my CL77's. Their tech advised the ohm ratings, and I later contacted Bill Silver with them to see what he thought. Bill responded back that they were within spec for the application. Emgo's part number is 24-71512, and I have seen these on Ebay and other distributors. The case is unpainted aluminum but could be painted black.
