Ran fine, then nothing - 66 CA77
Had it running for a couple of weeks, started fine, ran fine. Took it out for a spin today, but would not start, battery was low, so I got it started by kick starting. Drove it for a couple of miles and then tinkered with the brake lever. Went to start it and got nothing, even tried to kick start it and nothing. Charged the battery, but when I turn the key the drain on the battery goes to 3.9volts. Any suggestion on where to start.

Ran Fine
How old is the battery. It could have died its final death. If you have a charge from the alternator, replace it. If it is totally dead your indications from the alternator may not be true.

Charged battery
I fully charged the battery, but still could not get it to start of the button, but it would start if I kick started it. Could ride it for a while, but there is a major drain on the battery. I have traced it back to the starter solenoid. I think I have read that they are rebuildable, I will try to take if off tonight to see.
Thanks for the help.
