HELP WITH GASLINES HONDA 1967 CA77E
I cleaned the point and ordered some new ones and have a new battery. As for the timing, im not sure how to do that yet. I have not received my manual yet. Im also not sure what the proper gap is for the points. Hope i get the manual soon. thanks for the response.joeweir1 wrote:make sure points are clean and adjusted properly along with timing set correctly.Strong battery with good ground.
.014 on the points-You want the points to just start to open when the timing mark (F) on rotor lines up with timing pointer. You may want to spend some time reading old posts on this site(I have spent hours)).There are many posts on setting timing and carb. issues. This site can give you answers that no manual will when it come to troubleshooting. If you read Ed Moores timing procedure in the FAQ's section of this site which is for the CB and CL77 (bikes with two sets of points) you will get the basic idea.
