1965 305

Post by gcptc » Wed Jul 23, 2008 5:31 pm

I have a 1965 superhawk. It has high handle bars and looks all original. The seat mounting tabs at the front have been repaired. Is this common? The bike is black but there is red under it. The guy I got it from said it was always black He had it for more then 30yrs. I thinking it's a repaint but can't find overspray anywhere. Also the chaingaurd is red. The kick starter gear is broken also. Are these common things? I thinking of restoring it but can't decide.

The original title said 1965 and matches the motor. (?) Most of the vins start 1..... and this one starts at 4.... is this because it's a canadian model?

It's because it's a 1964.
Your title is the actual year it was sold. .................lm
