Should I replace my oil pump?

Post by strikef1 » Tue Nov 18, 2008 4:19 pm

I started to rebuild my Dutch 1964 CB72 after a seizure 10 years ago. As my oil pump was rotating difficultly, I took it apart. There was a small part of steel jamming the gears which made two scratches below the gears (see picture).

Should I replace the oil pump; and if I have to, where can I get another oil pump?

Yes you should replace the pump.
I have ones I've inspected and are good to go. .........................lm

Hi LM,

Thanks for your valuable advice.
Yes, I would like to accept your offer for another pump. How can we do this?
