oh yeah...not cheap! I'm going to inspect mine this winter...here's the best pic I have right now...If you can blow it up a bit maybe you can see a really shiney link near the clutch.<john> Although I have to say my chain doesn't look exactly like the one for sale....

also, there's a bunch of links that look like that...and the shinny ones look like they have been filed, or rubbing against something.....but I slid the chain around and can't see what they would have been hitting.....

If Ed's selling used PCs, you can bet your last meal that they'll be in good order. Besides, they run in a sealed and constantly lubed environment; it's whipping that would wear it prematurely. The grit & sh1t from the road (on a final drive chain), along with poor adjustment and lack of maintenance, accelerates chain wear. I saw an aftermarket primary on an older CB, without a tensioner, that had been poorly made, was whipping, and a link had come adrift; it wrecked the casing, the filter and it practically burst out the front where it had bunched and eventually locked the crank sprocket.

I think D.I.D. made original-fitment chains for Honda? That OE from Thailand is a real p1ss-take price! I still think we should boycott the Asian sellers who are 'cashing in'!!

Be aware of some Thai/Asian sellers on ebay. They are very good to take unoriginal parts, make a "handwritten" part slip and sell it as origninal parts. Nothing wrong with DID, but I have never seen parts slips with handwritten numbers on. He has probably made a lot of copy's and write them himself. This seller has also listed parts for years ago for a price. When he is not getting it sold, he double the price and place a "best offer" see item number :140211373530. This was for sale 1,5 year ago for $75.

This looks like a roller chain and the OEM is a pin chain without rollers. .........lm
