my bike goes flat

hi there guys
i have a 1966 superhawk 305
i recently popped in new pistons rings and bearrings
thing is when im running the bike seems to go flat when i accelerate
it seems like the speed plateaus, i cant even reach 100
is this a carb thing? help please :) thanks

Double check your cam timing, iginion timing and the centrifical advance. Sounds like it's a little retarded or not advancing.

After checking all ignition parts, check color of plugs and make sure it isn't running to lean. This will cause a loss of power, and possibly hole the pistons.

my bike only does 90 my old superhawk used to
do 130 easy, i think it may be the timing of the bike

surprisingly it could on a straight
i think its the float im not getting enough gas on high rpms
will adjust later
