oil filter
hello,<br /><br />i'm in the process of restoring my bike, and i was wondering about the oil filter and what i coud do with it.  is there anything i can do for it?  i'm sure i's been in the bike for many years.<br /><br />thanks,<br />Ryan

Hi,<br /><br />My old 65 cb77 used a centrifugal oil filter, chain driven. I would simply take it apart (metal ring holds the cover plate) and clean the inside wall. Hope this helps.

It is stainless and about .002. Be sure you put it on the shaft before the filter. ...........LM

DJBarcy:<br />Just curious how you are planning to make that.  .002 (inch I assume) is about as thick as foil.  Punch out the hole and tin snips for the outside diameter?<br /><br />Tom
