Brake light switch?

Post by RonBou » Fri May 08, 2009 1:43 pm

Just got my 66 Dream running again after a 2 year storage. Started right up! The brake light works but I have to just about stand on the pedal to get it to light up. I figured a simple adjustment but for the life of me I can't find a brake light switch. Where should I be looking? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Yup... Do I turn the whole switch to adjust it? I don't want to break anything experimenting.

i wouldn't try turning it because there are wires attached to it. on mine the switch is threaded and sticks into a hole in a bracket , then jam nuts on each side of the hole..... loosen one, tighten the other

I went out to the garage a minute ago with my glasses on and used a drop light and it was immediately obvious how to adjust it. Thank you.....
