speedo cable replacement

No luck on Ebay. Retro Bikes has em for the CL77 and CB77. Does anyone know what the differences are compared to the CA77?

There is one on ebay right now. item no. 300307649518 from Thailand.
it's a little pricey though.

You are right, there are now 2 on ebay. I did not see any a few days ago. Man are they expensive. The ones from retro bikes are only about $20. I know they are not NOS, but I am not riding a show piece, so I don't care.

Hopefully someone know if the one of the others will work.

The CB72/77 and CL72/77 will not fit a Dream.The end that screws into the speedo has male threads on the Dream and female threads on the CB/CL models.

I got my CA77 speedo cable from RetroBikes. http://www.olypen.com/retro/ The price is reasonable and the service was excellent.

I Imagine there must be some way to modify the cable (knowing me likely duct tape) to make the cable fit a CA77. I Ordered a CB72/77 from retro bikes to find out, I'll post the results in a few days.

Update: Got the CB72/77 cable today and just as Buck said the part that plugs into the speedo is female threaded and the dream is expecting male threading, however the other 90% of the cable fits perfectly. Ive driven 100 or so mile with the cable duct taped in place with no problems. Later i may RTV it into place for a little more permanent solution.
