wiring diagram for 1967 superhawk

Post by burvis » Thu Jun 11, 2009 9:33 am

I'm having trouble finding an authoritative wiring diagram for my 67 superhawk. There seems to be an extra red-cloth covered wire going to the ignition switch that's not in the diagram I have. This bike has no turn signals, though it appears they provided for them in the harness. Other than that everything is color coded and connected correctly. But something is balled up somewhere...

Probably the charging wire from the rectifier; it goes to terminal 'CH'. Here's a link to both CA & CB diagrams http://www.honda305.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4245; the turn signal cables -- l/bl, or, gy & additional bk (ign) -- á la CP, aren't shown on the CB diag, but were included in the later ('66-'67) harnesses and the OEM-replacement (but not factory-fitted) ones too. Such info courtesy of LM. Ergo, terminal 'CH' should have a wire to the rectifier and a (r/w) wire to the battery + post.

Come back if you still have a problem.
