Are you sure it wasn't Candy Red....?! LOL!

I guessed that was a typo-error. I think The Avengers model was maybe an S2(?). I had the Corgi toy model but I'm damned if I can remember the colour; I'll take your word on that one.

EDIT: some Googled pics found:

Know I can get my anorak on. The car can be identified as an S3 by its stainless steel window frames. The S1 and S2 also didn't have knock on wheels. The final type the S4 and sprint had a lump on the bonnet (hood) to accommodate the Stromberg carburetors required to meet emission regs in the USA. I also think the finish was metallic. The boots are as I remember.

The Weather in the UK is cold and wet and we have had snow. That means we have salt on the roads, not good for a re-fresh, restoration or any think else with chrome on it. So it looks like I will have to wait till the spring. But I can always polish and admire.

It appears that the producers had Mrs Peel driving an Elan S2 (white) -- HKN 999C -- in the earlier series'. "Her" S3 -- SJH 499D -- wasn't introduced until later episodes.

I bloody knew my Corgi toy was an S2!

Can I borrow your anorak please, Jonty?
