CA 77 valve clearance

Hello 305 guys: I am getting conflicting specs for adjusting the valves on my 305 DREAM. What do you experts suggest? I have been told by my local dealer .04" for both in & out. My repair manual suggests 0.9-.11" but it is also hard to understand by the way the manual is printed. Any info would be helpful and appreciated. I set them at .04 and am getting some chatter. They should be set at .004. If you set them at .040, I'll bet they are a bit noisy. The infomation from your manual is metric. it should read .09-.11
which would be .0035-.0043. Good luck!
