"Old pitch" = JIS?

The 6mm threads didn't change pitch anyway...only 3, 4, 5, and 12 mm.
My guess is 5mm with old pitch, the 6mm will not even start in the holes on mine.

Its a little confusing, since there are "new" or current JIS standards also.
The "new" JIS are sometimes referred to as ISO or "modified JIS"
I was referring to the old original JIS standard thread pitch.

If you are buying Honda part number screws from Western Hills Honda, make sure they do NOT have a "-0A" suffix; those are the "new" JIS/ISO threads, not the original JIS threads.

They are not. I had to buy screws with a 30 length rather than a 25, but a little extra screw sticking up into the tank isn't hurting anyone. I think the part number was 93500-03050.
