copper head gasket

Has anyone used a copper gasket to boost the compression a little? What thickness did you use? Any trouble using it (leaking, etc)? Any sources to recommend? Do I need a sealant or do I install it dry?

I had the cylinders rebored only 1 oversize (+.25). I just wanted a little more power. So I thought maybe using a thinner gasket to boost the compression from 9.5 to 10.0.

Thoughts?

No, but i have machined a lot off the top of the barrels and lower face of the head to raise compression

I have used aluminium for the head gasket. I annealed it in our oven and then just used it dry with the standard o rings to seal the oil ways. Don't remember the thickness but it was thinner than a normal gasket.
