I decided on this one because of its classic styling that fits the bike well. BTW, in my searching, I found that the UK seems to have a much better selection of vintage style helmets from BELL as well as other things. What's up with that America? :-). The one I really wanted was the R/T Champ. The downside is that I didn't like how one half the helmet was black and the other was white. I was really digging the checkered stripe down the center though. So....off I went to my local vinyl guy with a picture of the Champ helmet.
A few minutes later, he sent me home with enough precut vinyl to do three versions in case I messed up and a choice of accent stripes. I decided on the silver accent stripes as oppose to the gold version BELL has. With some patience, adjustment, and dry time, the new vinyl was on and looked pretty darn good. I opted for no visor and removed the snap buttons and replaced them with polished rivets for a clean look. End result:

Total vinyl cost: $25.
To make the look complete, I ordered a set of Halcyon Mark 6 racing goggles in black. In order to get the ones I wanted, I had to order from a UK site. For anybody interested, I found the best deal here for them: http://classicpartsltd.com/mark-6-racin ... ggles.html
I think it ended up being $50 shipped to the US. I was up in the air on the models of goggles but went with the rounded race version as oppose to the split lenses as I felt the split in the glass would be too distracting for me. Anyway, much better than any knock off "aviator style" goggles you can get here.
