Hi
Anyone know if there were different threads used for the CB72 ( and I guess CB77 ) main jets ?
I seem to have in my box of carb bits, main jets that are different threads and one main jet holder
that looks different from the others.
I measure them as M5 with either 1.0 or 0.8 pitch so either Keihin changed them at some time
or I've got bits from something else.
Any info gratefully received.
thanks
Phil
Note - reason for looking is I want to turn down some Amal jets to make a choice of > #100
main jets since its still weak at the top end n std #100s. I have a chart giving relative IDs for
Keihin, Amal & Mikuni and can't find anyone who has ( for example ) 105 & 110 jets in stock
but have lots of old Amal stuff.
CB72 Main Jet Holder - Thread ?

Re: CB72 Main Jet Holder - Thread ?
The main jets threads for these type carbs were all the same.
HONDA did use a different thread and holder with a later carb and they look the same but are not.
The newer jet will have a thin line machined into the outer edge. ............lm
