Pics from way back.....
Arf! Pretty fly, for a white guy, Davo! Popping wheelies is a thing of the past for me, mate. Back in the day (late '74) when I had my second GT380 [pic], a chum -- now living in Sydney -- had a Yam YR5. He popped a wheelie away from a traffic light, lost sideways balance and slid the bike under the front bumper of a car waiting at the crossing junction......... An unmarked police car!
Steve, reminds me of a story in the early 60's in Japan. My buddy and I were setting at a red signal and he was in first gear reving the bike (CB77) like crazy, the clutch cable broke, he did a wheelie into the intersection with opposing traffic, one car going behind him and one in front of him, lucky he wasn't hit. From that time on, I always put the bike in neutral when waiting at a stop light. Cliff
This photo was taken in 1974 at my rented house in Old Windsor (UK).It was my first CB 77 I paid £25 because she was running on 1 cylinder, all I did when I got her home was adjust the mixture and she ran like a Swiss watch. The girl sitting on the bike was Debby my girl friend at the time. I sold the bike a year later for £150.
Steve I also had a GT380 but the Honda was always my favourite.
