I was wondering if anyone has ever re-painted/sandblasted/made-to-look-new their motor by taking it off the bike, but not rebuilding it? It holds pressure and runs great, I just wanted to make it look better!
Thanks!

I cleaned an painted the motor without tearing it down. I took the side covers off and painted them. The bare aluminum parts I just cleaned with engine cleaner, mineral spirits, or what ever worked. I used tooth bushes, q-tips and a lot of rags. I did use a nylon brush in a hand drill for the fins and polished the side covers.

Lots of great info
Especially the hyperlink by Davmoto, has anyone else ever tried the baking soda blaster? I know getting alot of water on the enging can mess things up, so hosing it down isnt the best idea...
