Can't keep pace! Whatever you're on, please bottle it & send me some! It's taken me 4 hours to paint my new chainguard & change out the lever bolts today.

I see you're working the numbers, buying up a few donors hoping to get some usable bits. Can't wait to see where you shoot off to next. Is anyone's barn/shed/garage safe near you? (A bit like me on eBay -- I'd hate to tot up how much I've spent on CB parts!).

G'luck with your jigsaw(s)......

shelly's story is not being told chronologically. it was time i started documenting my work before presenting the end result. this project has not been an overnight process!

grounding cable

Post by mobilyte » Wed Jun 30, 2010 3:21 pm

i broke the connector at the battery end of the main ground cable, so i cleaned up a spare.

found that a rear engine mounting bolt was missing (opposite side of frame as ground cable). kinda pissed that i threw out all 12 off the donors, but i got a replacement from fast fred.

holds tools

Post by mobilyte » Wed Jun 30, 2010 3:42 pm

the toolbox had a bent mounting tab for the starter solenoid. took it off, realigned the two solenoid mounting tabs, cleaned to bare metal and primed/painted.
