Bonjour, the starter relay mount to the tool box, so you'll have to work around that.

Yes thanks, I don't have the original starter relais but from a CB350 , (also 12v, looks the same, expect it doesn't have a hole to mount it) , so ill have to improvise on at anyways.
A well.. improvising is the best part of working on an old bike i guess :D . Doens't matter, ill fabricate something !

And thanks Tango !

Today im going to tight the engine to the frame (isn't bolted yet, it just hangs there..) , and im going to cut some bolts to the right size. And probably some others small things, so not big 'cosmetic' changes today.
I Also need to repair the lighting of my daily CB50 (80cc) . wich has priority.

Did a few things, wrestled alot with the footsteps, but they are nicely on with no tension.

Next week im going to do some electric things, so not much 'progress' is to be seen, but the progress is 'there'

Anyway, this is how the bike is now.

Well, ive been busy with the electrics and it almost finished now, just the handle bar controls and the headlight, that's basically it.

Then the engine should in theory be able to spark.

Don't have photo's , but I think next week is going to be a 'busy' week and lots of progress will be made.

So picture's coming up next week !

The starterrelais also worked, only not hooked up yet, have to get some rings to install the wires.

And I mounted the exhaust headers. (not tight yet)

Well, almost done !

Yesterday I started the bike and it run pretty good.
There where some small problems with the ignition and starter.
A condensor of the ignition is bust, bought it new buy it does not work and sparks occur between the points and a bad or weak spark at the spark plug. Not such a big problem to fix.
The other problem is the starter clutch, it does not have enough 'grip' to engage (it does go round when the spark plugs are out and have no compression) So a smallish problem there, but no real major supprices !
The motor ran good, when I first started it, the ignition way to much advanced, later on I fixed that (my timing light didn't work as you see in the clip) , and the motor run really, really smooth.

No oil leak or other strange problems, oil goes in the head, everything worked !

When I have my new condensors I make a new clip and I probably zoof by :D

Pics and the movie of the first start in 12years ! :D
