CA77 Fork Diagram

Post by Dr. Frankenstein » Mon Aug 23, 2010 1:59 pm

Hello Dreamers:

Does anybody out there have an exploded diagram/assembly instructions for the front fork/steering head ass'y to a 1964 CA77E 305 Dream they can send me, or point me to? The one I have is for a slightly different model, a C78, I think it is...either way, the parts in the diagram are not matching up with the one I have, esp. the big rubber 'donut' and dust seals... Thanks!

Bikebandit has this:

but I don't know how similar the forks are throughout the years...

I know i've got the manual, but it's at home and i'm at work....

Hi Cap'n; thanks for getting back to me...

Is there any chance you can send me the detailed reconstruction info? I've gotten the steering head bearings in no problem, but the five little washers, the steering dampener, main steering nut and the top-plate - the way they all mount together at the top of the steering head are a bit puzzling to piece back together without the proper instructions, and the manual I have is not for a CA77, just a C77..and those two bikes have Way different reconstruction instructions...anyhelp you(or anybody) can give me would be greatly appreciated!
