CB72 chain guard color

The chrome is too far gone; it was poor quality chroming too. I'll refinish and paint it for a spare.

Since the chain guard is made from a rather thin gauge metal, you can easily distort it with sandblasting. If you can have the old plating electrically removed (most platers an do this), and then prepare it as a usual bare metal surface, the results should be more satisfactory. Regards, Chase
