350-305 swap
Are the outside deminsions and motor mounts the same on a 305 and a 350? I need a motor for my 305 scrambler and i have acess to a 350. Has anyone tried this conversion?
Out of curiosity what’s wrong with your motor, or do you not have one? If your needing top end parts I may be able to help as I have a bunch of stuff lying around.

-Bill
Re: 350-305 swap
I am missing the cyliners, cam and carb. I found a real good deal on the 350, I was hoping that the bore was the only thing different.

I sure hope UConn337 can take care of your needs because there's a lot of differences betwen the 350 and the 305. They are 2 totally different motors.modified311 wrote:I am missing the cyliners, cam and carb. I found a real good deal on the 350, I was hoping that the bore was the only thing different.
Understand, I'm not saying the 350 motor can't be put in the 305 frame. I just feel like you're in for a lot of work, if it can be done. Why not
try to come up with the parts for yours?
Later on, Bill
