Replacement float valvesThanks for the feedback. As a former machinist, CH dimensions are known to me, plus I have a conversion chart on the wall should I forget.
Mine is not leaking at the carbs. Both my carbs dribble a small amount of gas out the overflow tubes that are connected to the brass overflow tubes. It leaves two marks on the ground under the bike. So that is why I think it is the worn float needles. And I know they are worn. Actually, probably the most worn of any valves I've seen in all my years of tinkering with engines. I checked to make sure the floats were free, but the point about the gaskets extruding into the bowl, which was mentioned in another post I found with a search, might be playing a role here. I'm in the process of going thru some maintenance items on the engine now that the riding season is coming to a close so I'll recheck those carb floats for free travel. Thanks for the tip on CB750F viton tipped float valves. regards, Rob
