Steve, been meanig to post this. it seems you're current location is the home of the MotoGP World Champion Jorge' Lorenzo. Quite an entertaining season it was, although Rossi, Pedrosa, and Stoner all had down time with injuries. Next year, Ben Spies will be on a factory Yamaha, alonside team mate Lorenzo. And how about that Scuderia Ferrari. I hope Alonso wins by more than 7 points, the same 7 Masa gave him!

Dave, my apologies for appearing to ignore this post; I missed it totally.

Yes, Jorge (George, to us, but pronounced 'khorkhay' with a soft, guttural 'k' from the throat) is a local boy -- don't know him personally -- along with tennis ace Rafael Nadal -- who is an acquaintance of my stepdaughter -- and Spanish national team footballers whose names escape me as they're paid far too much!

Singer Annie Lennox (ex-Eurythmics / Tourists, with Dave Stewart) lives here some of the year, as does Claudia Schiffer.

I'm pleased that Alonso didn't make F1 World Champion and that Ferrari were rightfully slapped. Cheating didn't get them anywhere and Felipe was swindled out of a win in the process. I felt the same distaste for Lewis, last year, after his lying over the Australian GP debacle. I'm over that now.... Like my opinion affects The Grand Scheme!

But, I am absolutely delighted for Christian Horner and the Red Bull team, and for Sebastian Vettel. Thoroughly deserved champions! I'd have been even more delighted if Mark Webber had got there!

Agree 100%, Vettel was fast all year, as was Webber! What's Formula 1 without controversy? It is such a high stakes game, that teams and drivers seen to loose track of what it is really all about, which in my opinion is who has the best car and driver on any given day and circut. Entertaining to say the least, can't wait untill next season!
