I ordered in a Kawasaki cam chain guide roller (12055-002) from a Z1 to replace the one on my cl72.
It is much smaller, 50 mm diameter as opposed to the 59 mm diameter of the original part. Also the pin bore is smaller.
I presume we are talking about the roller guides that sit directly on top of the engine cases?
I did compare the new Kawasaki part to a couple of used ones from a Z1 and kz900 engine and they are identical.
Where am I going wrong?

This is the correct item, on eBay now. A bit more expensive than list-price, but I'm not sure how rare they are.
Have you tried Western Hills Honda or Retro Bikes? The part# is 14611-250-310 -- Ohio Cycle are showing the part# in their list (click on the link and do a 'Ctrl+f' (Windows) / Command+f (Mac) for '14611' and hit 'Enter'), but no price; maybe not-in-stock.
