air filter metal painted cover mount?
Air Cleaner Lid
LM, I think Yellow60 is talking about the Air Cleaner Lid 17241-259-000. I cannot see screws as you have described in the parts manual. It looks like maybe the back of the battery tray fits snug against the lid to hold it in place?

Re: Air Cleaner Lid
I don't have a DREAM on site so memory cuts in here and I hope I'm correct.
Part #17245-250-000, air cleaner fixer installs through the frame from the right side and through the air filter then through a hole in the air cleaner lid 17241-259-000 and a nut holds all this to the frame.
I Think.
I for one can't imagine HONDA having a battery which doesn't fit tight to the frame to hold anything in place. ..............lm

Now see there what a faulty memory can do.
Any chance the tool box board holds it in place?. ........lm

Aha! First, let me say to the younger forum members, even when you think that you have old LM dead to rights and one time he could be wrong and you even have photo PROOF of your argument: just stop, do a little more research and save your self from having to admit to one and all that: Ya, just remembered, the P.O. had but in a larger battery and there wasn't room enough for the tool tray and that's why I didn't see it holding in the cover when I took it apart. Sorry, LM, you were right of course:--/
