Traded a Nissan pick-up for this bike and three others the other day; I almost traded the truck for $500 of carpentry work so I figure I have $125 in each one. So I was wondering if you guys thought I got a good deal and also give me a critique of the originality of it; especially the pipes as I have never seen a stock one. The right hand one is pretty good shape except for scratches caused when they didn't index the kick-starter right (this could be the reason why they gave up on it) but the left hand one has the weld broken on the mount.

Looks original except for seat and bars.

ps. the weld commonly break there. some fellers think it happens more often when the exhaust are bolt into place without loosening the engines mounting bolts and slowly tightening everything together to create equal stress.
other fellers say the welds were just weak.
it should be repairable if you can find a good welder.
