Thanks Allan. The paint is decent, good enough for a driver anyway. I just wish it didn't have that ding right behind the seat. It'll be fine for now. I should have the engine in next week.bikedoctor99 wrote:Very impressive!! That neatly painted fender will enhance your upholstery work quite well. Your work is an inspiration. Can't wait to see it completed! allan

Sorry, I didn't see your post earlier. There is definitely a change from the previous pics. Now that I am thinking about it, there is a different engine, frame, fender, stand, wiring, and seat. So far, all I'm using off the other bike is the tank and forks!cyclon36 wrote:Coming along nicely. Definitely a dramatic change over what was originally there.
By the way guys, I still need exhaust!! let me know what ya got!

The wife was away today with her girlfriends, so I had the whole day to work on the hawk. I got the engine in, forks on, and wheels on. I hope I never have to take the forks off again! They were a bitch! Lots of hammering to get em in the trees. I am realizing now that the 305's are a little heavier than the Vespa smallframes I'm used to. by almost 200 lbs, but I'm sure I'll get use to it.
Either way, here are a few pics of the progress. They're not that great cause I couldn't find my camera and had to use my phone, but you get the idea. I'll take some better ones later.

Looking mighty fine, this is almost like watching a neighbor's child blossoming and growing into a little person- as my grand daughter would say "GOOD JOB!".
