got everything back together today and the carbs (i think both a little, but mostly just one) were leaking from the overflow pipe on the bottom of the float bowl. first, are those supposed to have rubber drain lines on them i assume? and second, it didnt seem to be leaking while running, just when it was off with the petcock in the on position. it seems to me that that would be because of the float level being off? or is this to be expected? (hence, the drain spout)
good thing i left the left side exhaust off so i can get at it a little better..

If it's leaking when parked then your float needs to be adjusted.

+1 on checking the float level. Also check to make sure you don't have pin hole leaks in your float. Another thing to check is that there are no cracks in the brass tube. I've had that happen before on a carb that overflowed when everything else checked out ok.

My right side continues to leak out the vent as well. I have adjusted it three time, and the leak goes away for a while and then comes back. Keep in mind this is all in garage as I've never riden her. I'll keep adjusting till the leak goes away I suppose...
