Rubber Seal for Battery Cover

My battery cover has a long rubber seal that goes around the top half of the cover. My '64, '68 and '73 parts manuals all show the round rubber bumpers like those on the right side cover.

Anybody have ideas for a replacement? Is there a part number? Just another Honda part mystery?

As far as replacement goes, I think your kind of on your own. On the bright side I read somewhere on here a while back that someone used some old worn out windshield wiper rubber material and neatly glued it in place and it turned out well.

Thanks for the info. I searched the site but as usually happens, nothing came up.

Driggs is in Eastern part of Idaho and over 5 hours away. I am in SW Idaho closer to Oregon.

Oh duh, sorry...for some reason I had my geography reversed. I'm getting my dream stuff back from powdercoating later this week and I plan on doing the same thing with the old wiper rubber. I'll let you know how it goes or if you beat me to it, post some pics and let us know how it worked out.

I used a small strip of inner tube tire and it worked fine. Just pushed it in and used a little RTV. I tried the windshield wiper blade first, but that stuff is very difficult to cut with a razor blade. Just a little practice with the rubber inner tube works fine.
