Thailand Mufflers Arrived Today

Post by Cheburashka » Fri Apr 15, 2011 5:45 pm

I got a pair of the mufflers from Thailand delivered to my house today. $110 shipped, which isn't bad. They look pretty good. Big ugly welded seam, but it's on the bottom edge where it can't be seen. Good fit over the j-pipes and the hangers lined up well. I sealed them with copper-filled silicone, so we'll see how long that lasts. They're nice and quiet. Much better than the rusty ones I pulled off. If you're looking for cheap and sort-of OEM looking, they're a good deal. I'll let you know how long they last.

Some of the Thai stuff is of a reasonable quality for the price; you sometimes just need to make it better, here & there, but the basics are OK. Works for a rider and fits the pocket.

Their NOS can be a piss-take; a bit spendy, and I refuse to give them the sale unless it's been something I really need.

Good find for you, it seems. And at least Apex didn't make any money out of you!

Keep us informed as to how they fare on your bike.

I'm trying their NOS stuff out too

I ordered a RH switch with directional signal from one of the sellers in Thailand. They have the proper switch for a CA77, but they want $250 for it. I went with one from a CA50 for $30 shipped which I'm pretty sure I can modify to work with my signals. I'll report back on this when it arrives.
