What bike is the front fender from?. ....lm

I found a teeny, tiny, part lying around. it's the shift return spring pin. Looks like I need to back step a few. grrrrrrrrr Now I need to figure out where the darn thing goes in as little backward steps as possible.
Silly manual: "E-9 Gear Change" page shows shifter and gear shift arm bits right-side-up and on the very same page shows engine and shift drum parts upside down.

It threads into the lower case and the shift return spring thing fits on each side of it. ..........lm

Bah! that's not the missing part. Clutch fork spring pin is in place. However the part looks just like it but smaller. I'll post pics and then be embarrassed because somewhere in the back of my cluttered brain I recall Fred telling me what it was.
Best laid plans of mice and classic restorers. Spent the day working on the handlebar controls. Had to completely tear apart and re-do starter button, starter wire and sheath, light switch, etc.

Don't feel too bad, when I took my dimmer switch apart I found an extra spring lying loose inside....wonder if it was really "extra"?
