Another newbie

Just wanted to introduce myself. Recently picked up a '64 250 dream and am in love. Runs a little rough, but probably just needs the carbs done. Definitely not %100, but motor is in good shape. Its been a Sunday driver before I got it. Can't wait to get her running the way she should.

Cool original style front tire. I'm not an expert so I'm going to ask a question that maybe someone can answer.

Looks like the older style tank. Does this still apply to 250's? An earlier bike that didn't get titled until 64?

Anyway, nice original looking bike.

Definitely looks older than '64. Look on the wiring harness somewhere above the carb. There will be a label with a date and that date should tell the year of the bike unless it was assembled around the first of the year. Also if you post the engine and frame serial numbers, some members here can reference them and give you a definite answer.

Looks like a good bike

Older than 64? Well, I'll check. I'm totally new to this and can't wait to get the ball rolling!
