handlebar compatibility?

Post by Susan » Thu Jun 09, 2011 7:04 am

I'm in search of replacement handlebars for the CA77. Mine are slightly bent and straightening hasn't done the trick.

Does anyone know if there is any interchangeability between other models, or do I need to look specifically for (and only for) CA77?

Any information would be appreciated, thanks.

Susan, did you get any advice on this question - I'm in the same need and I see the ones from Asia on ebay all the time but not noted as for the CA77. I need the throttle hinge cutout ones....

I have never tried it but the smaller Bridgestone bikes also used a throttle similar to the CA. The bars are pretty narrow though as they were used on 50, 60, 90, and 100cc bikes.

I have 3 brand new handlebars that are CA size but the cutouts are different. The cutout goes all the way to the end of the bar, not just a slot but all the way to the end. I will have a CA throttle apart soon and will see if these new bars will work with the CA throttle assembly. I have no idea what these bars are for.

I have a set of bars off of a Honda MT125 from 1973 that look quite similar (not as much rake in them - little wider) and have VG chrome. I think I may practice on these by cutting the slot with a dremel. I don't know if it's gonna work and its been a few months since I viewed the bars naked up close and personal. Steady hand and maybe success.....

I compared the bars side by side. Looks like it might just work? The cable enters in a different location though.

Useful info - thanks much!

They're not too bad and I'm not convinced I will replace them, but it's worth knowing in case I find something.
