Removing motor

Post by bonsaibill » Wed Aug 10, 2011 8:29 pm

I am working on a '65 CA78. I have very limited knowledge. I have the resto guides. I can't seem to figure out how to drop he motor. I removed the two long bolts at the top of the motor and the four at the back and bottom. Are these the only bolts holding the motor. Also te bolt in the picture won't come out with the motor still in place. Help!

At the very least you will probably need a floor jack under the motor to lower it down. If you use a jack to take the weight off that bolt it will probably come right out.

Yep that did it. I also didn't have the right side of the motor off to allow the bolt out. Thanks guys!
