headlight blues

Post by steven0356 » Mon Jan 15, 2007 5:16 pm

I have spent a good part of the day looking for a headlight for my 1965 CA77 305. Everywhere I looked said the same thing, "good luck". What are you all doing when your headlight goes out, just not riding the bike at night? It seem sad that the lack of some creative solution are keeping these bikes off the streets

If someone knows of some sort of workaround to this problem please let me know. I almost don't care what it looks like as long as it gets me safely down the road until I can scrounge up a headlight.

Thanks

You just missed two used working original headlights that sold on Ebay the last two days.If you have your original you can repair it with an H4 auto headlight bulb by melting glue that holds the wiring to the bulb and then busting bulb into pieces carefully and removing then install H4 bulb with High temp RTV.Also, I purchased a new headlight housing with chrome ringon Ebay and installed an H4 bulb in it, but it did seem to drain my battery ,but still worked.
